The 1st and 2nd graders in our Junior Division truly experience everything Deer Mountain has to offer.
They engage in the full range of activity offerings from the woodshop to the climbing wall to league
play on our sports fields. The also have significant choice opportunities. Our Juniors have a daily
Club Choice option so they can consistently visit their favorite activities. Group size is approximately
10-12 campers. Each group is supervised by at least one college aged counselor as well as an assistant
counselor.

The daily Club Choice option allows both creative and sports minded campers to take more control over their
schedule. On the artisitic side, campers can choice to spend more time at traditonal camp activities like
Ceramics, Woodworking, Cooking, Photography and Music & Drama or they can opt into Club Specific activities
like Jewelry Making, Lanyard, Radio, Painting and Drawing and more. Campers who want to refine their skills
on the playing field can opt into SPORTS TRACK and immerse themselves to a "Sport of the Week" to enjoy extra
skill building and league play time.
